Privacy Policy Statement

This Privacy Policy covers the treatment of information that I gather when you are accessing or using the Busy Lives! Website or services or when you contact me in any manner. I may gather various types of information, including information that identifies you as an individual (“Personal Information”) from our users, as explained in more detail below.

Please note, Busy Live! Is registered with the Data Protection Agency which is part of the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

Information You Provide:

I may collect any Personal Information that you choose to send to or provide to me. If you make contact through the Busy Lives! website or emails, a record of our correspondence may be kept. I receive and store information you provide directly to the business. For example, when enquiring for information on any of our services, I will collect Personal Information, such as name and e-mail address, to provide you with more information on the Services. The types of information I may collect directly from you include: names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers,  transactional information (including Services purchased), as well as any other contact or other information you choose to provide or upload to my systems in connection with the Services.

Information Automatically Collected:

When you visit the Website, certain information related to your device may be collected, such as your device’s IP address, referring website, what pages your device visited, and the time that your device visited the Busy Lives! Website.

How information from the website is used:

  • To administer the Website, events and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, statistical and survey purposes;
  • To improve my Website to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
  • Analyse customers’ use of the Websites for trend monitoring, marketing and advertising purposes;
  • As part of my efforts to ensure the Website safe and secure.

Services: We may use the information we collect from our customers and their users in connection with the Services we provide for a range of reasons, including to:

  • Process and complete transactions, and send related information, including transaction confirmations and invoices;

How information to third parties may be shared and disclosed

I will not rent or sell your Personal Information to anyone. I may share and disclose information (including Personal Information) about customers in the following limited circumstances:

Vendors, consultants and other service providers:  I may share your information with third party vendors, consultants and other service providers who I employ to perform tasks on my behalf. These companies include our payment processing providers Paypal.

When you use PayPal, you agree that PayPal can share the information listed on the Log In with PayPal consent screen or in your Log In with PayPal account settings with the participating website. Information you allow PayPal to share with these third-party websites is subject to each third-party’s terms of service and privacy agreement, so you are encouraged to review their policies.

I reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as necessary to comply with the law or court order; enforce or apply my agreements with you and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of, our users, or others.

How Personal Information about you is secure 

I use appropriate technical, organisational and administrative security measures to protect any information I hold in my records from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.  Unfortunately, no company or service can guarantee complete security. Unauthorised entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time. Among other practices, your details are always protected by a password for your privacy and security.

Cookies and other tracking technologies

Busy Lives! website and some of my Services use cookies (small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters put on your computer) and other similar tracking technologies (like web beacons, tags and scripts) to uniquely identify your browser and to gather information about how you interact with the Websites and Services. This information is used for the following purposes:

  • Assisting you in navigation;
  • Assisting in registration, login, and your ability to provide feedback;
  • Analysing your use of my services; and
  • Assisting with my promotional and marketing efforts (including behavioural advertising).

You can always opt not to disclose information, but keep in mind some information may be needed to be registered to take advantage of some of the features.

If you would like to access, review, update, rectify, and delete any Personal Information I hold about you, or exercise any other data subject right available to you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can email or contact me directly.

I will always look and deal with your request and respond to you as quickly as possible. Please note that I may still use any aggregated and de-identified Personal Information that does not identify any individual and may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce any agreements.

For your convenience, hyperlinks may be posted on the Website that link to other websites (the “Linked Sites”). Please note, I am not responsible for, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to, the privacy practices of any Linked Sites or of any companies that I do not own or control. Linked Sites may collect information in addition to that which I collect on the Website. I do not endorse any of these Linked Sites, the services or products described or offered on such Linked Sites, or any of the content contained on the Linked Sites. I encourage you to seek out and read the privacy policy of each Linked Site that you visit to understand how the information that is collected about you is used and protected.

Children

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Services or send any Personal Information about yourself to us. If I learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13, I will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided Personal Information, please contact me immediately. If parents are bringing children on any courses or services we may require their name whilst training, as a fire safety precaution.

Updates to the Privacy Policy Statement

I will be constantly trying to improve my website and services, so I may need to change or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will alert you to material changes by, for example, by placing a notice on the Website and/or by sending you an email (if you have registered your e-mail details with me) when I am required to do so by applicable law. You can see when this Privacy Policy was last updated by checking the date at the bottom of this policy statement. You are responsible for periodically reviewing this Privacy Policy.

How information held on you is destroyed

Any paper-based information will be shredded and disposed of after a period of 3 years unless you have consented to the information being kept for a longer period of time.

Email contacts and any electronic information such as my mailing list is stored securely and will be kept until you ask for removal / and or reflect the consent you originally gave.
